Q.  Why should I choose Cultured Pearl Event Rentals?

 

A.  We are committed to providing excellent service and quality products. At Cultured Pearl we understand the meaning of the word budget and strive to offer the best service at the most competitive prices. We are also interested in providing a non-pushy, stress-free environment to all of our clients, as we believe this experience should be as easy as saying 'I do'.  Our staff is here to listen and help, as your ideas inspire us to create an event that is not only unique, but truly inspired.   

 

Q.  Where are you located?

 

A. We operate out of Calgary, AB, to offer Full Service decorating for all of Alberta and Do-It-Yourself Rentals for beyond.

 

Q.  How do I get started?

 

A. The best way to started is to contact us and book a free consultation. To do so, please feel free to call us at (403) 275-2002, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM or send an email to culturedpearl@shaw.ca at any time. All inquiries will be addressed within 2 days and we will place a notice on the website if we are not available for any significant length of time.

 

Q.  What if these hours do not fit my schedule?

 

A. Our normal hours of operation for consultations are between 9:00am and 8:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Please note, that we gladly schedule appointments for pick-up, drop-off, and consultations beyond these days and hours for your convenience, so please feel free to inquire.

 

Q.  What services do you provide and where do you offer them?

 

A. We offer both a Full Service option and a Do-it-Yourself option for rental and decorating.

For those located within Calgary City limits, the Full Service option includes laundering, delivery, set-up, take-down, and pick-up for the listed price. For those choosing the Full Service option outside of Calgary, but within Alberta, there will be an additional travel charge that will need to be quoted and added to the order at time of booking.

For those interested in the Do-it-Yourself (DIY) option the price listed includes laundering and requires that you pick-up and return items to our Calgary location.  We do require that the items stay within Canada for customs purposes, but out of province works fine. Drop-off and pick-up services are available, so please inquire for quotation.

 

Q. Do you require a Security Deposit?

 

A. We require 50% of the total rental cost upon booking to secure the date and the products ordered. The deposit will apply towards the remaining balance, which is due 14 days prior to the event date.

 

Q.  How far in advance should we book?

 

A. We tend to book up pretty fast with respect to Full Service Decorating Packages. To ensure that you get the date that you require and to lock in your pricing, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience to 'Save the Date'. 

 

 

Q.  How many chair covers should I book?

 

 

A. To ensure that we are able to meet your needs for your special day, we encourage all brides to book the maximum amount of chair covers that they will require for an event as we allow for a 10% reduction in final numbers without penalty. Final numbers are due with final payment 14 days before the event date. Reductions beyond 10% will require payment in full due to lose of opportunity costs for turning away potential clients in order to secure the rental items for that event date.

 

Q. When can I pick-up and return any Do-it-Yourself (DIY) rentals?

 

A. Standard pick-up is the Thursday before the event and drop-off is the Monday after the event within the hours of 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Alternative pick-up and drop-off times can gladly be pre-arranged, but must be agreed upon by both parties. Failure to pick-up or drop-off within the times scheduled may result in penatly.

 

Q. Are all of your linens and chair covers laundered?

 

A. All of our linens are freshly laundered and individually pressed regardless of the service level you choose.

 

Q. How do we return DIY linens?

 

A. All linens and chair covers should be simply pulled off the table/chair, untied, and placed into the bins or bags provided. They do not require washing or any additional treatment, as we take care of that.

 

Q. Do you offer delivery and pick-up services on DIY items?

 

A. We can provide delivery and pick-up of all items. Please request a quotation stating time and location for accurate pricing.

  

Q. What do you accept as forms of payment?

 

A. Paypal and Interac e-transfer are what we primarily use for payment, as you can do money orders and use your debit / credit card with them.  We will send you an invoice if you are interested in this method, which will allow you to pay from the comfort of your home at no additional cost to you. We also accept cash and cheque in person provided there is a 30 day window for personal checks to clear. There is a $35.00 service fee applied to all NSF cheques.

 

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

 

A. Orders that are cancelled in writing within 30 days of the DEPOSIT date will be refunded in full. Orders that are cancelled in writing more than 30 days from the deposit date, but still 30 days or more remaining to the event date are charged the 50% (fifty percent deposit). Deposits are non-refundable after 30 days from the deposit date. This covers the cost of lost opportunity for turning away potential clients in order to secure the rental items for the event date. Orders cancelled within 29 days or less of the event date are to be paid in full and are non-refundable. As free samples are available for testing fit, there are no refunds for non-fitting items on both DIY and Full Service rentals. Measurements are the full responsibility of the client unless a contract and site fee has been paid to Cultured Pearl Event Rentals for measurement and a guarantee of fit. 

 

 

Q. Do you require a Damage Deposit?

 

A. It is required that $100.00 CDN will be collected in the form of cash or cheque for DIY orders upon pick-up. Upon confirmation that the order has been returned entirely and there is no permanent damage, the deposit will then be returned. We consider examples of damage to be listed within the following: tears, candle burns, wax, or non-removable stains or markings.
